PepsiCo Little Island is hiring for a Maintenance Mechanical Fitter.
Responsibilities
* Perform all work safely, cost-effectively, and to the highest GMP standards.
* Diagnose and repair equipment and system issues promptly and effectively.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify causes of failures.
* Participate in Root Cause Analysis and related reports.
* Support KPI targets through accurate and timely SAP KPI data updates.
* Lead or support Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) activities as needed.
* Provide technical support to project teams to ensure best practices.
* Contribute to Quality, Cost, and Service initiatives for performance improvement.
* Recommend modifications to processes or systems.
* Diagnose technical problems and implement solutions.
* Maximize equipment and plant availability by identifying and eliminating problems.
* Implement efficiency improvements in energy use and equipment performance.
* Demonstrate technical and interpersonal skills proactively.
* Maintain a proactive approach to results in production settings.
* Apply innovative problem-solving techniques.
* Adhere to cGMP standards and understand business drivers.
* Perform maintenance across manufacturing and utilities, including handling, sanitizing, and processing bulk liquids and powders, as well as automation equipment like robotics and labeling systems.
* Support maintenance improvement programs and establish best practices.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Engineering, EHS, and Quality teams, supporting automation technologies like PLC and In-Batch systems.
* Participate in training to upskill and cross-train employees for efficiency.
Qualifications
* Qualified in Mechanical Automation and Maintenance Fitter (MAMF apprenticeship or equivalent).
* At least 3 years of industry experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
* Strong technical and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
* Proactive in achieving results in a production environment.
* Innovative problem-solving skills.
* Committed to cGMP standards with a good understanding of business processes.
* Understanding of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) principles.
* Ability to work shifts as required.
* Team-oriented with a willingness to support colleagues.
* Knowledge of plant technology and process systems, including troubleshooting, debugging, repair, and maintenance of plant equipment.
* Shift work may be required based on business needs.
