As a CBRE Country Technical Lead, you will assist with the management of the team responsible for the all electrical & mechanical operations, maintenance, communications, energy management, project management and workforce development programs all sites across the portfolio of buildings.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, project support and repairs on equipment and systems.
Processes - But Not Limited To

Provide direction and leadership of a site based multi-skilled maintenance team including sub-contractors within defined portfolio of buildings ensuring that staff deliver corrective/repair works in accordance with building / asset maintenance requirements, current regulations, health and safety conformity, best practice and quality standards.
Act as technical authority providing advice and assistance to maintenance team as required.
Ensure maintenance of installation, operating and maintenance records and to ensure completion of statutory / contractual records and KPIs.
Act on ideas/initiatives contributing to potential improvements in service levels, cost reduction, business improvement etc.
Create meaningful reports as required in relation to productivity, equipment reliability, failure trends, improvement recommendations and financial spend against budget
Provide input into development of the forward maintenance plan.
Assist team with operations and maintenance issues.
Enforce and merge customer engineering, maintenance standards, and requirements into the facility maintenance program and any configuration changes.
Schedule maintenance activities complying with customer operational requirements.
Support operational analysis of all engineering related performance metrics (KPIs).
Drive continuous improvement and innovation. Support the undertaking of peer reviews, site assessments, and technical competence evaluations.
Integrate with clients for reconfiguration, changes, and operational requirements.
Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues that may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
Manage operations and maintenance for assigned facilities. Assist in the development of operating and capital budgets.
Oversee all building systems including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, water hygiene, HVAC issues. Must remain current with the latest technology trends.
Respond to emergency situations and customer concerns
Undertake other tasks, as required by the leadership.

Staff

Provide direction and leadership to a team of multi-skilled technicians.
Recruitment of employees in accordance with defined specification and competency requirements.
Assessing employees in terms of experience and job performance.
Training and developing staff - identifying skills / experience gaps and producing individual training plans.
Ensure staff availability to meet task requirements and response to emergencies outside normal daytime operations.
Ensure HR policies and procedures are adhered to
Coordinate and manage the team and vendors daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.

Customers

Act as key liaison point with Facilities and Project leads (CBRE & Client) with primary focus on ensuring business continuity and risk minimisation.
Liaise with Facilities Manager (CBRE & Client) in respect of the status of critical corrective repair works.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of the portfolio buildings in terms of their layout, functions and complexities.

Essential

Electrical Qualification
Critical Environments Experience
Good knowledge of building services, associated systems and in country statutory compliance.
Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mind.

Desirable

Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered
Electrical engineering preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered
IOSH/NEBOSH qualification.
