Job Description
The Biotherapeutics Drug Product Platform Organization provides technical & scientific leadership across the product lifecycle, from early development to launch & growth, ensuring commercial readiness, process robustness, and continuous improvement. It collaborates with R&D, Value Chain Management, Quality, External Supply, Global Engineering, and Regulatory to align strategies throughout the product lifecycle.
In this role, you will provide leadership and strategic/tactical direction to resources within the platform aligned with J&J IM Strategy Goals and key stakeholders. You will be responsible for resource allocation, project prioritization, and realization to meet platform goals, as well as identifying opportunities to add value. You will oversee manufacturing processes, risk assessments, process & technology optimization, and technical support within your team.
General Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate a global team of technical owners and critical processes related to lifecycle products, technical transfers, process optimizations, investigations, and performance tracking within the VO Team.
* Manage resource planning and governance to deliver business and project goals for the platform across sites.
* Identify and implement process optimization opportunities in collaboration with key stakeholders.
* Lead the deployment of technology standards and new technologies, and their application to assets and products.
* Coach, mentor, and develop staff and potential talent; evaluate performance and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
* Promote a culture of empowerment, collaboration, and competitiveness, driving harmonization across teams and sites as part of 1 MSAT.
* Manage communication and change management within your team.
Qualifications
* Proven ability to build and maintain a diverse, inclusive team aligned with the organization’s vision and Credo.
* Ability to influence peers and leaders to drive innovation and change.
* Experience in building strategic alliances with educational, industry, and research entities.
* Strong project management, process excellence, and end-to-end supply chain knowledge.
* Business and financial acumen.
* Expertise in biochemical manufacturing processes, technologies, and products.
* Knowledge of industry standards including ISO, ICH, CFRs, etc.
* Knowledge & expertise in cGMP and EH&S regulations.
* Soft skills: resilient under pressure, conflict resolution, decision-making, independence, prioritization, team leadership, integrity, and Credo-based actions.
* 12-15+ years of relevant experience with a BS degree or equivalent, or 10-12+ years with an advanced degree (MS/MBA/PhD).
* Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (20-30%).
* Experience working across various time zones.
