The role of a Programme Director is pivotal within our institution, overseeing the academic integrity of programmes and ensuring they are effectively managed.
Main Responsibilities
* We are seeking an individual to design, develop, provide, and ensure quality assurance for all modules within programmes.
* This role involves developing the Teaching, Learning and Assessment strategy for programmes in consultation with the Academic Council.
* Management of the assessment process and resourcing of the programme in consultation with the Management Team are also key aspects.
* The successful candidate will be responsible for communicating accreditation and professional standards body requirements and meeting those requirements.
* Maintaining currency with developments in their field and assessing their potential impact on the programme.
* Raising the profile of the programme through research, publications, conference proceedings and networking.
* Representing the programme to the Academic Board.
* Ongoing monitoring and review, planning and reporting.
* Organising student meetings and one-to-one evaluations.
* Providing cover for lecturers to ensure programme continuity.
* Chairing and managing the Programme Board.
* Conducting interviews in conjunction with the admissions department.
* Managing student care support.
* Ensuring timely implementation of necessary quality enhancement/improvement measures.
