A Senior Pharmacist is responsible for leading a team of pharmacists and technicians in providing patient care through the safe, effective, and efficient dispensing of medications.

* Maintain an awareness of patient safety throughout the hospital
* Demonstrate behavior consistent with hospital values
* Participate in pharmaceutical services as part of a punctual, dedicated, and professional team
* Create, promote, and maintain open communications and healthy working relationships

Key Responsibilities:
">
* Lead a team of pharmacists and technicians in providing patient care
* Ensure the safe and efficacious dispensing of medications
* Review prescriptions for accuracy and suitability
* Educate and counsel patients on their medications
">
Required Skills and Qualifications:
">
A registered pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) or be entitled to be so registered.
">
At least three years satisfactory post-registration hospital experience.
">
Possess the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and management ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
