Job Title: Permit Operations Specialist
Description of the Role:
The Permit Operations Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing the site permit to work process within a utility environment, ensuring all permits to work are fit for purpose.
The incumbent will act as a stand-in for the Utility Permit Coordinator during periods of annual leave or other absences.
Responsibilities include operating a process that all permit requestors must adhere to on site in line with Standard Operating Procedures governing the Permit to Work System, including electronic versions.
To ensure adherence to this process by everyone requesting a permit within utility boundaries.
In conjunction with the Utility Permit Coordinator, review all permits submitted for utility sign off to ensure they meet required standards and verify availability of necessary documentation.
Closely collaborate with utility shift operations teams to maintain up-to-date information on daily permit statuses.Closely interact with requestors at every step to ensure seamless understanding of standard requirements and minimize rework or time wastage, Requirements:
1. Educated degree equivalent technical level or trades degree
