Lectureship (Above the Bar) in Sport and Exercise Medicine, School of Medicine, University College Cork.
Job Overview
The successful candidate will teach and support the MMEdSc in Sports & Exercise Medicine programme and assume the role of programme director. They will be responsible for research, student supervision and participation in departmental and college committees, reporting to the Head of the Department of Medicine and working closely with the School of Medicine.
Responsibilities
* Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Sports & Exercise Medicine.
* Support the MMEdSc in Sports & Exercise Medicine programme and act as programme director.
* Conduct research and supervise student research projects.
* Contribute to curriculum development and teaching excellence.
* Participate in departmental and college committees.
Qualifications
* Professional (clinical) qualification in Medicine and eligibility to register with the Irish Medical Council.
* Relevant post‑graduate qualification.
* Experience in clinical student education and classroom teaching and learning.
* Research‑active with a record of supervision.

Salary
Appointment on the Lecturer (Above the Bar) Salary Scale pro rata: €79,185 – €102,549 (Scale B) / €75,338 – €97,420 (Scale A). Salary placement will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
