Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead our team in delivering large-scale construction projects from pre-construction through to completion.
This is a senior leadership role requiring strong commercial acumen, technical expertise, and excellent stakeholder management skills. The successful candidate will oversee multiple projects, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the delivery of multiple construction projects, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company standards.
* Manage project teams including Project Managers, Site Managers, Engineers, and subcontractors.
* Oversee project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
* Ensure adherence to health & safety regulations and promote a culture of safety across all sites.
* Monitor project progress and performance, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
* Liaise with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and successful project outcomes.
* Review and approve project budgets, cost reports, and procurement strategies.
* Ensure quality control and compliance with technical specifications and building regulations.
* Support tendering and pre-construction activities, including input into bid strategies and contract negotiations.
* Provide leadership, mentoring, and performance management to project teams.
Requirements:
* Degree-qualified in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
* Minimum of 10 years experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager role.
* Proven track record of delivering large-scale commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.
* Strong understanding of Irish building regulations, health & safety legislation, and construction contracts (e.g., Public Works, RIAI, FIDIC).
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Commercially astute with strong budgeting and cost control capabilities.
* Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to travel to project sites as required.
