Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this role is responsible for delivery of digital and social media marketing for Bus ireanns Expressway intercity coach service.
This is a 6-month contract role.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an early career marketing professional to build on their existing skills and demonstrate leadership by helping to set up a new digital and social media marketing capability within Bus ireann.
This role will suit someone who enjoys both the challenge of defining and implementing something new, with support from a manager, and also enjoys a focus on delivery and execution excellence.
The Marketing team is part of Bus ireanns Commercial Department and has marketing responsibility across all of Bus ireanns activities including Public Service Obligation (four cities, six towns, rural and commuter services), the commercial Expressway intercity network and business development activities.
Bus ireann is a complex and varied organisation, and this role will work with a range of internal and external stakeholders, particularly other members of the marketing team, the Head of Corporate and External Communication, the Head of Expressway, and creative and media agencies.

Key responsibilities: Digital and social channel management: Plan, develop and execute digital and social media campaigns and events to reach Expressways target audience.
Manage Expressways social media channels, including copywriting, scheduling content and advertising.
Update the Expressway website and ensure content is optimised for excellent user experience, search engines and digital/social media platforms.
Manage Expressways digital customer lifecycle management (delivered currently through Bloomreach).
Ensure all digital and social media marketing campaigns align with Bus Eireanns values, purpose and goals and monitor growth and performance.
Content creation: Develop engaging, creative and innovative content including videos, infographics, ezines, etc.
Assist in the development of new imagery.
Monitor and improve results by developing digital and social media KPIs and implement a regular monitoring and tracking system.
Analyse Expressway website analytics to improve user journey and experience.
Develop insights, including conducting research if needed, into consumer requirements, habits and trends.
Stakeholder Management Work with Marketing Manager and Head of Expressway to reach Expressway targets including revenue, passenger numbers and customer satisfaction Work closely with third party suppliers and contractors, including creative and media agencies, CMS platform provider, web developers, videographers, photographers, etc Assist the Marketing manager with key internal stakeholders including Expressway Team, Ancillary, Sales Team (campaign coordination), IT (website), and External and Internal Comms teams.
Carry out other team duties as needed Experience/Capabilities: The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years relevant digital and social marketing experience, with a proven track record on campaign design and delivery, channel management and content development.
Digital and social media: Proven track record of working across digital channels and social media including content development, ideally in a Business to Consumer environment.
Knowledge of website content management, user journey optimisation and Google Analytics Technology skills: Excellent computer skills including MS Office and Adobe suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premier Pro) or similar.
Communication: Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
Ability to adapt writing style to a range of audiences and topics, while still remain aligned with Bus ireanns brand values.
Customer focus: Feeling of ownership for the needs of both internal and external customers.
Understanding of what drives customer satisfaction, and consumer behaviour.
Focused on delivering results:Execution orientated, ability to work to tight deadlines, Well-organized and detail oriented with high quality standards.

A relevant third level qualification is highly desirable.
Experience of graphic design or working with an email lifecycle management system such as Bloomreach would also be of benefit.
Interest in public transport is preferred but no prior experience is required.
