Support Children with Additional Needs as an AIM Assistant
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and caring AIM Support Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children, families, and educators to promote an inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide tailored support to children with additional needs to ensure full participation in the early years curriculum.
2. Collaborate with room leaders and early years educators to implement individualized learning plans.
3. Support children's emotional, social, and educational development through structured activities and play-based learning.
4. Implement strategies recommended by external support professionals, such as therapists and early intervention specialists.
5. Promote an inclusive environment that encourages peer interaction and engagement.
6. Assist with personal care needs where required, ensuring dignity and respect for the child.
7. Maintain records of progress and contribute to reports as required.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Experience working with children with additional needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Able to maintain confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive information.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of children and colleagues.
