Construction Project Manager (Commercial fit-out Project) Limerick based

They are actively seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Project Manager to be based on site in Limerick for the duration of an exciting and fast-paced commercial fit-out project. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who enjoys managing complex projects from inception to completion, working directly with high-profile clients to transform their visions into reality.
As their Project Manager, you will be the central point of contact for the clients, guiding them through every stage of their project. Your expertise will ensure the project is delivered efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
This role is a key hire for the business as they expand their business and staff based in the West of Ireland.
Responsibilities
* Client Relationship Management: Be the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships, understanding their needs, and ensuring their objectives are met.
* Project Planning & Strategy: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, detailed schedules, budget establishment, and resource allocation.
* Procurement & Tender Management: Oversee the procurement process, including contractor selection, tender analysis, and contract negotiation.
* Design & Contractor Management: Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and various contractors, ensuring seamless integration of work streams.
* Budget & Cost Control: Rigorously manage project finances, including cost reporting, forecasting, variations, and ensuring projects remain within agreed budgetary parameters.
* Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate potential project risks to ensure smooth delivery.
* Quality & Compliance: Oversee quality control throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with all relevant building regulations, standards, and client specifications.
* Stakeholder Coordination: Facilitate effective communication and coordination between all project stakeholders, including clients, designers, contractors, and statutory bodies.
* Reporting: Provide regular, accurate, and concise project reports to clients and internal management on progress, budget, risks, and key milestones.
* Handover & Close-out: Manage the project handover process, including defect management and final account settlement, to ensure a successful close-out.
Requirements
* A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
* Proven experience (minimum 5+ years) in managing commercial fit-out projects, ideally within a project management consultancy.
* Strong understanding of all project phases, from feasibility and design through to construction and handover.
* Demonstrated experience in managing project budgets, schedules, and quality control.
* Excellent knowledge of relevant Irish building regulations, health & safety standards, and contract forms.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and persuade.
* Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
* A proactive, organised, and solution-oriented approach with keen attention to detail.
* Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are highly desirable.
