Job Overview:
The Duty Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our gastro pub, acting as the primary point of contact in the absence of senior management.
This dynamic and versatile position requires exceptional leadership skills, ability to motivate staff, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operational Excellence: Oversee all aspects of the gastro pub’s operations during your shift, maintaining high standards across departments including bar, kitchen, floor staff & hotel staff.
* Opening and Closing Procedures: Ensure all tasks are completed according to pub's standards.
* Quality Control: Monitor the quality of food and drink, ensuring that all items are prepared and served according to pub's specifications.
The Duty Manager is responsible for managing staff supervision, development, and motivation. They must ensure staff understand their roles and responsibilities and perform to the best of their abilities.
Customer Service:
* Greeting and Interaction: Greet and interact with customers & guests, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and excellent service throughout their visit.
* Issue Resolution: Handle complaints and issues promptly and professionally, ensuring a satisfactory resolution and maintaining a positive relationship with the customer & guests.
Financial Management:
* Cash Handling: Oversee cash handling procedures during your shift, including cashing up, monitoring till balances, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
* Stock Management: Assist in managing stock levels, including ordering supplies, monitoring inventory, and minimizing waste.
Health and Safety Compliance:
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the pub adheres to all health and safety regulations during your shift, including food safety, hygiene standards, and fire safety protocols.
* Cleanliness and Maintenance: Conduct regular checks of all areas of the pub to ensure cleanliness, proper maintenance, and compliance with safety regulations.
