About This Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated professional to play a vital role in delivering meaningful, person-centered services that empower individuals with disabilities to participate fully in their communities.
Key Responsibilities
* Enable service-users to participate in a range of chosen activities, including education, employment, sports, and social/recreational pursuits.
* Facilitate and support service-users in various service and community-based programs.
* Identify and support opportunities for building people's natural support networks and social roles.
* Utilize alternative communication aids and assistive technology to support individuals with diverse needs.
* Maintain excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
Requirements
* A relevant third-level qualification in social care, education, community development, or training (major level 6 or higher).
* Minimum three years' experience supporting adults with an intellectual disability or similar field.
* Experience in person-centered planning, capacity building, social inclusion, positive behavior supports, community development, advocacy, and empowerment.
