Store Deveopment team as Design Engineer.
The role of the Design Engineer will be to provide specifications for implementation by Retail Project Managers to enable them to deliver the physical in-store brand image for SuperValu and Centra Stores.
To provide specifications for manufacture, supply and installation of equipment & finishes by nominated suppliers to allow them to deliver the physical in-store brand image for SuperValu & Centra stores.
The Design Engineer will also liaise with departments within Retail through company project teams and individually to gather and develop information/ ideas for inclusion within the specifications and to assist in development of new concepts within the company.
What you'll be doing:
* Working with functions within Group – One Musgrave
* Represent Store Development in cross functional teams within Retail.
* Contribute to initial design brief for external consultants
* Provide relevant information to team & external consultants
* Facilitate design of concepts within trial stores
* Source new suppliers & equipment as necessary
* Facilitate project installation in trial stores to ensure specification standards are achieved
* Cost initiatives project from Store Dev. aspect
* Participate in post trial review & analysis
* Value engineer spec items
* Gather information for spec (often involves doing complete set of working drawings and/or photoshop visual representation)
* Add new designs to specifications & issue to RPM's and suppliers.
* Amend on a continuous basis as necessary
* Attend & feed into regular project and drawing meetings
* Feed into cost database on spec changes & updates.
What we'er looking for:
* 3rd level qualification in interior design (commercial)
* Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and/or a 3D rendering software package
* AUTOCAD 2D Draughting Qualification
* Significant Retail design experience – as a competency
* Team work experience in a Design & cross functional team.
* Design office administration.
* Planning and organising skills with proven ability to meet multiple deadlines.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong customer service orientation coupled with excellent administrative, interpersonal and communication skills.
* Demonstrated ability to adapt to a varied workload.
