Join us as a Commercial Reporting Analyst
As a Commercial Reporting Analyst, you will join the Performance & Planning team within the Sales function, where we are accountable to the Director of Sales. Our primary focus is on supporting our sales teams to plan, execute, and deliver sales performance. We lead commercial trading reviews, sales budgeting and planning, forecasting performance, building, delivering, and maintaining performance reporting, and supporting channel commission.
The role is ideal for someone with strong numerical and technical skills, a passion for data analysis and reporting, and a desire to grow their skillset. You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of reporting to channels, producing high-quality reporting solutions, maintaining existing reports, and serving as the primary contact for retail commission data queries.
You will be part of a pivotal team responsible for providing analytical insights to support channel management and achieve commercial goals. Working with diverse products and systems, you will have opportunities to develop your skills in a fast-paced, data-rich environment.
What else it involves
* Owning the publication of key reports to channels
* Ensuring timely delivery of performance reports
* Managing and maintaining channel incentives and designing engaging concepts
* Conducting commission reviews in our retail channel and recommending changes
* Handling bespoke queries and tickets from colleagues
* Maintaining and improving existing reports, seeking continuous improvement
* Transitioning reporting outputs towards Power BI and PowerApps, automating where possible
* Conducting ad hoc analysis on hot topics and providing recommendations
* Supporting business projects and ensuring new products meet needs
* Collaborating with the Performance and Planning team to meet goals
* Leveraging broad datasets to deliver actionable insights
The skills we are looking for:
Essential
* Understanding of relational databases, SQL or similar
* Ability to understand data structures and system links
* Proficiency in data visualization tools (Excel, Power BI, Cognos, Analytics, PowerPoint)
* Advanced Excel skills
* Experience with Microsoft Office 365 products including Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Teamwork and collaboration skills
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Managing multiple projects and reporting requests
Nice to have:
* Qualification in a data or quantitative field with relevant experience
* Experience in sales and CVM environments
* Experience in retail, telco, or utility sectors
* Experience in project delivery teams
* Experience in dynamic environments
* Customer-focused mindset
* Decision-making and prioritization skills
* Experience with agile methodologies
* Understanding of AI applications in datasets
