Steel Trading Specialist Role Overview
This position presents an exciting opportunity to work with a leading global steel trading company. Key Responsibilities:
* Qualify inbound leads and conduct initial assessment calls
* Pass qualified leads to the Sales Director for closure
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system
* Cultivate existing accounts through upsell and renewal opportunities
* Coordinate logistics operations to ensure seamless booking and delivery processes
* Update freight rates for key delivery locations
* Manage container bookings and schedules
* Act as a liaison between suppliers, hauliers, and logistics teams
* Collaborate with on-site inspectors to ensure quality standards and accurate weights
* Process and manage essential documents such as inspection certificates and shipping paperwork
* Maintain organized records of loading photos and related documentation
Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage complex documentation and processes
* Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (desired)
