Finishing ForemanLocation: Cork | Full-Time | PermanentSalary: €60,000-€70,000 DOEThe CompanyA well‑established building contractor delivering residential and housing developments across the Munster region.The business operates as a main contractor on multi‑unit schemes, with a consistent workflow secured through repeat clients and ongoing housing demand.Projects are site‑led, programme‑driven, and focused on achieving a high standard of finish at handover.The RoleThe Finishing Foreman will take responsibility for managing all finishing activities on site, working closely with the Site Manager and engineering team to bring projects through final stages and handover.Supervise internal and external finishing trades on residential projectsCoordinate labour, subcontractors, materials and sequencing of worksInterpret architectural and construction drawings and ensure works align with specificationsOversee workmanship standards across all finishing elementsManage snagging and de‑snagging through to completionMaintain daily site records covering labour, progress and inspectionsEnsure works are carried out safely and in line with Irish regulationsSupport quality control inspections and handover documentationThis is a hands‑on site role with clear ownership of the finishing phase.The PersonThe role is open to experienced finishing supervisors from residential backgrounds.Typically 5+ years’ experience in a finishing foreman or supervisory roleStrong knowledge of internal and external finishing trades and sequencingBackgrounds may include Finishing Foreman, General Foreman with finishing focus, or Senior Trades SupervisorComfortable managing subcontractors and direct labourAble to read and interpret drawings, specifications and method statementsGood working knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and BCAROrganised, detail‑focused and practical in approachValid Safe Pass and Manual Handling requiredThe Package€60,000-€70,000 salary, depending on experience25 days annual leavePermanent, site‑based role on live residential projectsSteady pipeline of work within the housing sector
