Executive Compliance Officer (Mid-Level)
This is a mid-level role where you will be the driving force behind building and maintaining our compliance framework across multiple regions.
You will be responsible for creating key policies including privacy policies and terms & conditions, ensuring we are meeting legal and regulatory standards across all our markets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Building Our Compliance Program:
o Design, implement, and maintain compliance strategies that align with privacy, data protection, and regulatory requirements across the different regions we work in.
o Craft policies such as privacy policies, terms & conditions, and user agreements that fit the specific needs of each market.
* Staying Ahead of Regulations:
o Keep an eye on global and regional regulatory changes, especially around privacy laws like GDPR and CCPA.
o Work to ensure that our company stays ahead of these changes and that our policies are always up-to-date with the latest regulations.
* Supporting Our Teams Across Regions:
o Evaluate our compliance policies and provide guidance to our internal teams in sales, marketing, IT, and other departments.
o Collaborate with external legal advisors when necessary to make sure we are in line with local laws and regulations.
* Training and Raising Awareness:
o Create and run compliance training programs to help our team members understand the importance of privacy, data protection, and compliance policies.
o Be at the forefront of building a company-wide culture that values integrity and ethical practices.
* Managing Audits and Documentation:
o Leading internal audits and documenting compliance efforts will be a key part of your role.
o Track the progress of our compliance initiatives and ensure we have a solid record of any audits or actions taken to improve compliance.
Requirements:
* Education:
o A Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or something related.
o A Master's degree or certifications like CCEP, CISA, or IAPP are a plus.
* Experience:
o You have at least 4-6 years of experience working in a compliance, legal, or regulatory role, particularly around privacy and data protection.
o If you've worked across multiple regions, especially the GCC, UK, US, and LATAM, that's a plus.
* Skills & Expertise:
o A deep understanding of privacy regulations (think GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
o The ability to stay on top of evolving legal landscapes.
o Familiarity with compliance management software is great.
o The ability to translate complex legal language into clear, actionable steps for the team.
* Soft Skills:
o Attention to detail is key.
o The ability to stay organized and work independently.
o A clear communicator who can work well across different teams.
