Role Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experiencedMachine Setter to set up and operate Production Machines in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that machines are set up and operated efficiently to produce high-quality product. The role requires technical expertise in machine setting, as well as a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity. Key Responsibilities: Machine Setup and Calibration: Set up and adjust thermoforming machines to ensure proper operation. Load materials and adjust machine settings to achieve desired product specifications. Calibrate machines for optimal performance and troubleshoot issues as needed. Production Monitoring: Oversee the operation of thermoforming machines during production runs. Monitor machine performance to ensure product quality and consistency. Machine Running When necessary, run the machine and pack product. Quality Control: Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards. Perform regular quality checks and measurements to ensure compliance with specifications. Adjust machine settings to correct any deviations from product specifications. Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to prevent breakdowns. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and operational issues promptly. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Documentation and Reporting: Complete production logs and maintenance records as required. Report machine malfunctions and production issues to the supervisor. Document any adjustments or modifications made to the machines during production. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Ensure that machines are operated safely to prevent accidents and damage. Maintain a safe and clean working environment, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. Qualifications: Education: The successful candidate will have: Min Level 7 qualifications in Polymer Processing and/or in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Technical certifications or relevant training in machine operations is a plus. Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience working with thermoforming machines or similar high output manufacturing equipment Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and machine schematics. Experience with machine setup, calibration, and quality control processes. Good understanding of safety standards and best practices in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of LEAN Principles. Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
