Amazon Vendor Services (AVS), in partnership with Retail Business Services (RBS), is a paid B2B service that aims to help key Vendors partner with Amazon.
The Vendor Consultant (VC) will help shape and deliver strategies for managing key metric pillars for Amazon AVS vendors.
Soft Skills: Bright, customer-centric, driven, and creative. The Vendor Consultant will interface internally with leaders from RBS, Retail, and Vendor Services teams, and will be responsible for specific aspects of the vendor's business with Amazon. They will engage directly with multiple internal teams to optimize business for key manufacturers (vendors) on Amazon.com.
The Vendor Consultant will conceive, create, and analyze a wide range of data to grow the vendor's traffic, brand awareness, customer conversion, and revenue on Amazon. They will also analyze strategic and operational aspects of the vendors' business with Amazon, including root cause analysis of issues and opportunities affecting the business. The focus will be on managing customer relationships with vendors from a strategic and operational perspective.
Key job responsibilities
1. Success will be measured by the performance of internal teams on input metrics and the impact of vendors on creating a great customer experience.
2. Partner with the Retail (AVS) Team to manage vendor relationships by championing the vendors' needs at Amazon.
3. Build communication channels at all levels, set proper expectations, provide clear status updates, and manage towards a growth plan for the vendors.
4. Build and execute strategic account plans that deliver on key business opportunities and relevant KPIs for vendors and Amazon.
5. Collaborate with internal Amazon teams and vendors to improve operational aspects of their business, enhancing the consumer experience.
6. Conduct deep analysis on vendor issues and develop data-driven recommendations and action plans to improve the vendor experience.
7. Provide thought leadership around planning, roadmaps, and execution.
8. Establish long-term partnerships with key vendor partners for the group of vendors handled.
9. Support the launches of new programs and features.
10. Conduct regular WBRs and MBRs with vendors to highlight business metric performance and develop action plans.
11. Influence metrics by understanding them, creating realistic forecasts, taking calculated risks, and reacting quickly with new action plans.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- B2 Certification minimum (Italian)
- 2+ years of experience in vendor/account/catalog management, buying/sourcing/sales, product management, or supply chain
- 2+ years of experience interacting with customers/stakeholders
- 1+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Knowledge of advanced Excel (Array and Statistical formulas)
- Excellent business communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Fast learner and able to deal with ambiguity
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of macros and data analytics
- Ability to drive process or procedure improvements
- Knowledge of tools such as SharePoint, SIM-ticketing, project management tools, and scripting experience
