Fexco Group has an exciting opportunity for a talented legal professional to join its high-performing and innovative in-house legal team. This role is a permanent, full-time position with the opportunity to work either remotely or in a hybrid model from our offices based in Killorglin, Co. Kerry.ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will principally support our Payments and FX division, working across multiple global teams and regions providing support and advice to Fexco’s various businesses & product teams. The candidate will have excellent technical and analytical legal skills, sound business judgment, and a proven ability to manage workload with minimal supervision.Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating significant commercial contracts with international banks and global merchants, including confidentiality agreements, letters of intent, services agreements, and joint venture agreements;Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating IT supplier contracts including software development and maintenance agreements and software and know-how licensing agreements;Researching, advising on, and implementing business set-up projects in new territories;Researching and advising on regulatory and compliance issues relating to financial and payment services laws, anti-money laundering laws, payment card scheme regulations, and data protection;Advising on and managing intellectual property matters including patent and trademark applications and oppositions;Managing and advising on general litigation matters;Assisting with corporate transactional work including drafting and negotiating transaction documents, conducting/supporting due diligence, and project management;Advising on various company, banking, employment, litigation, intellectual property, and general property law issues as they arise within the Group;Supporting the Fexco Group legal team in developing best practices in legal operations, including developing innovative and value-adding solutions to assist business stakeholders, maintaining precedent contracts and know-how materials, and strategizing for more efficient legal service delivery.Qualifications and Key CompetenciesAbility to work in a fast-paced, frequently evolving, and matrixed organization;Strong planning and organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize and demonstrate initiative, being accountable for own workload;Highly developed analytical, decision-making, and administrative skills with strong academic qualifications;Excellent interpersonal skills (both written and oral), with experience presenting to peers, management, and external partners;Excellent commercial judgment, experience providing clear, practical advice, and making sound, realistic decisions;A high level of motivation and ability to act on one’s own initiative;Ability to work autonomously and as part of multidisciplinary teams, cultivating strong relationships with business partners, and acting as a trusted advisor;Familiarity with legal tech tools and solutions for enhancing efficiency and effectiveness is an advantage.
