Role Title:Nurse Tutor: Education Facilitator Job Reference Number:001392 Closing Date:Sunday, 20th July 2025 Purpose of the Role: The primary responsibility of the Nurse Tutor Education Facilitator role is the co-ordination, development, provision and evaluation of comprehensive education, training and development programmes to nursing staff and health care assistants from mental health, intellectual disability, public health nursing and older persons care within the Dublin Midland Regional Group in accordance with annually agreed objectives as assigned by the Director of the Centre for Learning and Development and the Office of the Nursing and Midwifery Services Director (ONMSD). These posts will be uniquely positioned and will have a key function in supporting integration across acute and primary care nursing as education is key to seamless integration of services for patients accessing the healthcare system. This initiative aids in developing and delivering programmes which support identified service needs and organisational objective and priorities Nurse Tutor Education Facilitator will also form part of the education team within the Centre that will provide education to the acute setting as appropriate. Required: Registered General Nurse with The Nursing Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI), or eligible to register. Have completed an MSc in Nursing Education or an equivalent postgraduate qualification relevant to the role with commitment to undertake a Masters programme within 2 years. Have a minimum of 5 years satisfactory post registration clinical experience in the area of practice. Possess the requisite clinical and educational knowledge and leadership/ management ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office. Demonstrate I.T. skills including excellent keyboard skills and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in teaching and assessing staff. Desired: Be registered on the Registered Nurse Tutor division as maintained by NMBI. Management experience. Experience of QQI assessment process. Knowledge of Learning Management Systems and creating interactive eLearning.
