Overview:
The QC Inspector ensures that all Humanscale product and components meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. This role involves inspecting raw materials, in-process assemblies, and finished products to maintain consistent quality and safety.
Essential Functions:
· Incoming Material Inspection: Verify quality of raw materials against specifications and report non-conformances.
· In-Process Quality Checks: Inspect chair components during assembly for dimensional accuracy, alignment, and ergonomic compliance.
· Final Product Inspection: Conduct functional tests (height adjustment, tilt mechanism, load-bearing capacity) and check for cosmetic defects.
· Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate inspection records and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
· Compliance & Standards: Ensure products meet ISO 9001, and other relevant ergonomic standards. Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
· Education: Degree or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
· Experience: 2+ years in quality inspection, preferably in furniture or manufacturing.
· Technical Skills: Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools (calipers, gauges).
· Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, good communication and teamwork skills.
