Position
Global Property Claims Lead – Dublin/London (Hybrid) – Full time, Employee.
Responsibilities
Report to the Reinsurance International Claims Manager and act as the product expert for all technical property claims issues, providing guidance, support, and resolution of complex cases.
Collaborate closely with Product Underwriters and the pricing team to monitor portfolio performance, identify trends, and implement improvements that enhance claim outcomes.
Ensure reporting and oversight are conducted with a global perspective, integrating claims data and insights from all regions and highlighting areas for improvement.
Explore technology solutions—including AI and automation—to increase efficiency and productivity.
Understand product strategy and lead the identification, collation, and reporting of losses and insights for outward retro.
Participate as a member of the monthly Global Property Committee meetings and weekly Property Clinics, representing claims and ensuring key issues—such as large claims, large movements, red flags, and volatile losses—are discussed.
Drive knowledge sharing across the claims and product teams to elevate technical expertise and deliver technical excellence.
Represent Re Claims in the Major Loss Protocol forum, coordinating the response for property exposure lines in collaboration with Cat Modelling and the Executive Director of Property.
Act as the visible face of Property Reinsurance claims both internally and in relevant industry forums.
Manage a portfolio of claims as required by the role.
Qualifications
Experience handling high-value property claims (catastrophe and per-risk covers).
Experience working within the reinsurance, insurance, or legal industry.
