Position Summary:
In this role, you will support the design and development of Orthopaedic and Trauma solutions. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams throughout the new product development process and assist in reviewing adjacent project efforts to ensure technical alignment.
What you will do:
* Model and detail component (implant, instruments, packaging, etc.) designs (e.g. by utilizing CAD software)
* Develop prototypes for design verification and validation
* Support and at times execute product development through the design control process in compliance with applicable guidelines
* Interact with Health Care Professionals to gather input for design and evaluation of new products
* Develop verification and validation protocols and technical reports
* Actively contribute in cross-functional design teams (internal and external) to develop new products, address design issues, and maintain existing designs (incl. change management process)
* Utilize knowledge of the surgical procedure and relationships with Health Care Professionals to develop innovative solutions for problems and to satisfy customer needs.
What you will need:
* Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, BioMedical or Masters in related discipline & preferable work experience
* Up to 2 years' experience Â
* Fundamental knowledge and understanding of mechanical engineering practices and tools, design principles within a regulated environment.
* Basic knowledge of design and concept generation CAD or CAE modeling tools
* Basic knowledge of analysis tools and statistical methods.
* Basic knowledge of materials and manufacturing methods.
* Ability to read and Interpret complex drawings.
