Louth The role: This is an exciting opportunity to work in one of Ireland's largest non-profit organisations who provide services and support to people that live with Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease.
The role will involve the offer of practical assistance, support and advice for people living with dementia and their family/carers, to appropriate services and supports and enabling them to take control of their own lives.
It is a hybrid role which will involve remoting working and travelling to meet service users in the community.
Key Duties: Give practical and emotional help to people with dementia and their families, starting soon after diagnosis.
Share information in a way that suits each person best, working with the HSE and other groups when needed.
Offer more help during tough times and support the whole family when needed.
Work with HSE and community services to make sure care is well connected.
Keep a record of people using the service and track important data.
Write down all the work done and share regular updates to check how well the service is working.
Essential Criteria: Have a degree (or equal qualification) in a healthcare field like nursing, occupational therapy, or social work.
Must have a car as the role will involve travelling to service users Know about dementia, related topics and how dementia affects people's lives.
Experience with quality standards and risk management is a plus.
This role is subject to Garda Vetting and clearances.
