Overview
The Maintenance Crew at BrookLodge & Macreddin Village plays a key role in ensuring that all hotel facilities, guest rooms, and public areas are operating efficiently and are maintained to the highest standards. This hands‑on role requires a proactive, skilled, and safety‑conscious individual who can troubleshoot and carry out a wide range of repairs while supporting the overall guest experience.
Key Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance of hotel facilities, guest rooms, and common areas.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
Carry out basic repairs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC systems.
Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained in good working order.
Monitor and manage building systems such as heating, lighting, and water supply.
Assist with setup and breakdown for events or functions as required.
Work collaboratively with the housekeeping, front desk, and food & beverage teams to support guest needs.
Maintain cleanliness and safety in all maintenance work areas.
Follow health and safety protocols and ensure compliance with hotel standards and local regulations.
Report any major maintenance issues or equipment faults to the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

Proven experience in a maintenance or facilities‑related role, preferably in a hospitality environment.
Strong knowledge of general maintenance procedures and equipment.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
Good communication and problem‑solving skills.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
A proactive and team‑oriented attitude.
Trade qualification or technical training.
