Sales Representative – Dairy & Agri Products - County Down or County Armagh (field-based) -£40,000 DOE + Commission + Benefits
The Job:
A growing agricultural business is seeking a field based Sales Representative to develop and manage sales of dairy equipment, feed products, and related agri solutions across County Down or County Armagh.
This is a hands on, farm facing role where building trust and long term relationships with farmers and dealers is key.
Key responsibilities include:
Selling dairy equipment and feed products directly to farmers and through dealer channels
Building and managing a portfolio of dairy and livestock customers
Developing new business opportunities while maintaining existing accounts
Advising farmers on product suitability, usage, and benefits
Maintaining a structured sales pipeline and achieving agreed sales targets
Conducting farm visits, product demonstrations, and attending agricultural events
Providing market and customer feedback to support product development

The Candidate:
Experience in agricultural sales or a strong farming background with commercial drive
Practical knowledge of dairy and/or livestock farming systems
Confidence engaging directly with farmers and dealers
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently
Experience selling dairy equipment, feed, or agricultural inputs
Background in animal husbandry, herdspersonship, or farm management
Understanding of dealer-led sales models
The Package
Basic salary £30,000–£40,000 depending on experience
Commission: 4% of sales above agreed threshold
Company vehicle or car allowance
Phone, laptop, and sales tools provided
High level of autonomy with clear earning potential
