An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Account Manager to join a dynamic and growth-focused team in the food industry.
This role is ideal for a results-driven sales professional with experience managing key accounts in retail and foodservice.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving revenue, building lasting client relationships, and identifying opportunities for expansion in domestic and export markets.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow a portfolio of key retail and foodservice partners, fostering strong, long-term relationships.
* Meet and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Develop and execute account plans to drive customer retention and increase sales volume, revenue, and profit margins.
* Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of an export strategy, particularly targeting growth in the UK and Europe.
* Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to provide tailored solutions to clients.
* Analyse market trends, customer insights, and competitor activity to shape sales strategy.
* Lead contract negotiations, including pricing and terms, in line with company policies.
* Work closely with cross-functional departments – marketing, planning, supply chain, and logistics – to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
* Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and reports to senior management.
* Represent the brand at trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events.

* Strong negotiation and deal-closing capabilities.
* Skilled in analysing sales data and developing strategic plans.
* Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Exceptional time management, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
* A relevant third-level qualification in Business, Marketing, Food Science, or a related discipline.
* 35 years of sales/account management experience in the food or FMCG industry.
* Solid understanding of food distribution channels (retail, wholesale, and foodservice).
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and compliance standards.
* Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including operations and product development.
