About the Role: The Finance and Administration Officer will play a pivotal role, managing financial processes and providing comprehensive administrative support.
You'll maintain accurate financial records, oversee payroll, assist with budget management, and support organisational efficiency through effective administration.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Management: Accurately manage financial records, payroll, budgeting, and monthly reconciliations using Sage.
Reporting & Compliance: Produce financial reports, assist in fundraising processes, grant reporting, and ensure adherence to financial procedures.
HR & Administration: Support recruitment processes, manage personnel records, and provide administrative support for board meetings and organisational operations.
Communication & Engagement: Act as the initial point of contact for internal and external financial and administrative queries, supporting effective organisational communication.
Operational Support: Oversee Centre Support Assistant, manage insurance, licensing, contract renewals, and assist with website and social media updates.

Qualifications & Experience: Essential: Relevant accounting qualification or equivalent; minimum two years' experience in financial administration; proficiency in financial software (Sage).
Desirable: Experience in charity/community sector administration; familiarity with grant funding and financial compliance requirements.
Skills: Strong ICT skills (Microsoft Office, particularly Excel); excellent organisational and communication skills.
Knowledge & Understanding: Essential: Financial record keeping, payroll processing, budget monitoring, and compliance knowledge.
Desirable: Understanding of charity finance and grant reporting processes.
Personal Qualities: Reliable, proactive, adaptable, and organised.
Ability to manage priorities effectively and work accurately under pressure.

Additional Working Requirements: Occasional flexibility to work outside regular office hours as required.
Hours of Business: Part-time, flexible hours (20-25 hours per week by agreement).
Salary: £28,000-£30,000 per annum (pro rata, dependant on experience) Contract Type: Fixed term (subject to funding) with a six-month probation period.
