Our Assistant Project Managers play a vital role in supporting the successful delivery of projects within KPMG Construction Advisory. They contribute to the day-to-day operations of their projects under the guidance of Project Managers and Senior Project Managers, with oversight from Directors and Senior Practice personnel. Assistant Project Managers are expected to demonstrate initiative, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset as they grow their capabilities and industry presence.

A Snapshot Of Your Peer Group

* Minimum 2 - 5 years’ experience in construction sector.
* Degree qualified, preferably in Project Management or related construction or design discipline.
* Highly motivated and with excellent industry network.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to govern and drive outcomes to ensure project outputs that meet required standards.
* Knowledge of Engineering and Project Management Principles.
* Ability to make decisions and demonstrate the logic in reaching those decisions when required.
* Working knowledge of Project Management software and toolsets.

* Project Support: Assist in delivering projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to specification, helping ensure project goals and client requirements are met.
o Team Coordination: Support the daily activities of team members and contribute to the implementation of effective project management practices.
o Interface Management: Help coordinate project interfaces across disciplines and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
o Strategy Assistance: Contribute to the development of project strategies, including procurement, permitting, and infrastructure planning.
o Meeting Participation: Attend project meetings, document minutes, and follow up on action items with relevant stakeholders.
o Risk Management: Assist in maintaining and updating the project risk register, identifying potential risks and supporting mitigation planning.
o Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance project management tools, templates, and procedures.
o Lessons Learned: Participate in post-stage reviews and lessons learned workshops to foster continuous improvement and team collaboration.

You will be joining a niche practice area within KPMG, with a team of 50 people and growing. With a broad range of competency and capability, KPMG Construction Advisory provide a one-stop shop from concept to completion where clients’ key objectives are successfully delivered upon. Our services include Project Management, Cost Consultancy, Mechanical & Electrical Cost Management and Consultancy Services and Schedule Management.
