Windmill Healthcare is currently recruiting for a part time Activities Co-Ordinator to join our Care Team at Abbot Close Care Centre, Askeaton, Co. LimerickDuties:Oversee and coordinate the appropriate recreational, physical and individualised activities programme for the residents of Abbot Close Care CentreReview resident activity assessments on a regular basis or on a needs change basisIdentify the needs of the collective group and individuals and tailor the activities to suit themimplement appropriate engagement activities with the residents in our Dementia UnitEstablish an open relationship with each resident and encourage each resident to participateEducate Abbot Close Care Centre staff to provide resident activities.Report any concerns about a resident to the lead nurse in chargeAttend training courses both in-house and at other locations to meet and enhance the service being provided by Abbot Close Care Care CentreTo undertake such other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Director of Nursing.The foregoing should not be considered exhaustive.Skills:Enjoy working with older peopleFluent in the English language (verbal and written) and be eligible to work in IrelandBe a committed, patient and caring person with a sense of humour and a positive outlook on lifeHighly motivated and have excellent communication skills to deliver activity programmes to a range of peopleStrong communication and listening skillsThe ability to work well in a team and liaise with other staff, volunteers and residentsAct as a good role modelPossess excellent teaching skillsQualifications:Sonas Certification or similarExperience:Previous experience with older peoplePrevious experience with DementiaBenefits:Positive and supportive working environmentCycle to Work schemeFree on-site car parkingDiscounted mealsBe part of our story....
