You will also be part of the ongoing success of one of Ireland’s leading engineering companies and who knows; maybe this could be the career for you?There will also be the opportunity to work over the summer at the end of Y2 to gain some experience in our Burnfoot plant.ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Department Head this position presents an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to the Mechanical Design / Product Development design aspects of Busbar and contribute to product improvements of same.The main remit of the role will involve working with senior Mechanical Design engineers and the Busbar Product manager in the preparation of detailed mechanical drawings and documentation for Busbar and other support functions for this part of the business.QualificationsBe enrolled in a third level Engineering course with a bias towards Mechanical EngineeringAn understanding of Engineering Design Principles.Working knowledge and experience with 3D modelling and 2D drafting of product designs.Experience with MS Office packages: Outlook, Word, Excel, etcPhysical & Environmental DemandsStanding for long periods.Time Travel RequiredNone
