The
Communications & Policy Officer
will be at the heart of how our client
shapes national conversations and influences policy across one of Ireland's most essential care sectors. If you love crafting powerful messages, diving into policy detail, and building relationships that drive real-world change, this role offers a unique opportunity to make your mark.

What your day to day will look like

Communications & Content

* Bring our client's communications strategy to life across digital, media, and member-facing platforms.
* Craft clear, engaging content — from press releases and speeches to newsletters, briefs, and longer-form reports.
* Drive social media storytelling and growth, ensuring consistent, credible, and impactful messaging.
* Support media engagement by preparing briefings, Q&As, and background notes that help shape public understanding.
* Lead and support campaigns that highlight sector issues, celebrate member success, and champion resident-focused care.

Policy, Advocacy & Analysis

* Keep your finger on the pulse of legislative, regulatory, and political developments in health and social care.
* Conduct research and produce policy briefings, analysis, and submissions that influence decision-makers.
* Support the development of evidence-led advocacy strategies that advance the sector's priorities.
* Assist in representing our client in discussions with government, regulators, and sector partners.
* Contribute to policy reports, consultation responses, strategic frameworks, and thought-leadership pieces.

Member & Stakeholder Engagement

* Create accessible communications that help members navigate policy, regulatory, and operational challenges.
* Support the organisation and delivery of events, forums, and policy briefings.
* Ensure communications and advocacy work accurately reflect member experiences and the realities of care provision.

What we need from you

* A degree in communications, public policy, political science, journalism, or a related field.
* 2–3 years' experience in a communications, policy, or advocacy role.
* Experience producing high-quality content across multiple formats.
* Understanding of Irish political systems, public policy processes, and/or the health and social care environment..
