Operations Manager (Commercial) / Kildare Our client is very well-established company based in Kildare who specialise in Safety Equipment. Seeking an Operations Manager to play a pivotal role in driving the growth and development of the Equipment Hire/Sale & Service section. This includes identifying new business opportunities, enhancing client relationships and ensuring efficient operations of the business including stock management. Reporting to the General Manager. Salary: €55K - €60K. The Role: Business Development Actively identify and pursue opportunities to grow the Equipment Hire/Sale & Service division. Develop strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones, building strong and lasting business relationships. Operations Management: Manage the equipment hire, sale, and service operations, ensuring efficient and effective output. Oversee the flow and availability of equipment and parts for client servicing, hire, and sale. Implement and maintain systems for managing training equipment used by trainers for courses. Budget and Performance Oversight: Monitor and report weekly department output against budgeted targets. Identify and address areas for improvement in operational performance. Stock and Inventory Control: Maintain appropriate stock levels of equipment and parts, ensuring availability for client needs. Establish stock management practices to reduce waste and improve efficiency. Team Management: Supervise and support the following direct reports: Service Technicians, including Field Technicians: Ensure service quality and adherence to company standards. Service Administrators: Oversee administrative efficiency and customer service. Sales Team:Ensure sales performance is optimised General Duties: Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the department. Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and meet client expectations. Act as a key liaison for training equipment logistics, ensuring trainers have the resources they need. Qualifications and Skills Required: Proven experience in operations or department management, preferably in the safety or equipment hire industry. Strong organizational, problem-solving skills and commercial acumen. Ability to monitor budgets and track performance metrics. Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage a diverse team. Familiarity with stock control and inventory systems. Commitment to maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety compliance.
