Family Support Worker Opportunity
We are currently seeking highly motivated and skilled individuals to join our team in providing in-home and community-based support to children with additional needs and their families. This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to make a positive impact in the lives of these families.
The successful candidate will have the skills and qualifications necessary to provide flexible family support services, working closely with the Family Support & Respite Coordinators to prioritize families and agree on the type and level of support to be provided. In order to achieve this goal, we are looking for someone who is able to work independently and as part of a team, using excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with families and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* To provide in-home and community-based support to children with additional needs and their families.
* To work closely with the Family Support & Respite Coordinators to prioritize families and agree on the type and level of support to be provided.
* To use excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with families and other stakeholders.
* To work independently and as part of a team, using initiative and problem-solving skills to address complex issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A minimum QQI Level 5 Childcare course (total 8 modules) including a module on special needs or Year 1 completed of a related degree programme (such as Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology).
* An SNA qualification or a relevant healthcare qualification.
* Access to transport.
* Eligibility to work in the state.
