Have the clinical, managerial, and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role. Experience with an Electronic Health Record (Desirable) Preceptorship experience (Desirable) The Purpose of This Role: The Clinical Nurse Manager II plays a pivotal role in the effective planning, coordination, and management of activities and resources within the Medical Ward. The CNMII facilitates clear and effective communication within the clinical area, ensuring that professional and clinical leadership is provided to drive improvements in patient care. The aim of the post is to maximise the operational efficiency of the medical ward services through the allocation and effective use of all hospital resources and utilisation of facilities. Applying lean processes and creating efficient pathways for the medical ward. Key Responsibilities: To manage the activities of the medical ward service from admission to discharge, liaising with the Consultants, Nursing Staff and all other health care professionals and support services. Communicate results of assessments, treatment / care programmes and recommendations to the team and relevant others in accordance with service policy / as required. Quality assurance within their designated area(s), as well as overseeing and maintaining high standards of clinical practice, and ensuring the efficient allocation of resources. Managing staffing levels, fostering staff development, and promoting practice development initiatives to enhance the skills and capabilities of the nursing team. Be responsible for the co-ordination, assessment, planning, implementation, and review of care for patients according to BSHS standards. Maintain compliance with safety protocols, policies, and best practices in patient care. Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and experience.
