Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and optimization of game systems and features using industry‑standard tools and programming languages (e.g., C++, C#, Unity, Unreal Engine).
Collaborate with game designers, artists, and other developers to translate creative visions into technical solutions.
Architect and implement scalable, maintainable, and high‑performance code for complex game systems.
Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Conduct code reviews to ensure high‑quality standards and best practices are followed.
Identify and resolve technical challenges, ensuring smooth gameplay and optimal performance across platforms.
Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, applying them to improve our games and development processes.
Work closely with producers to estimate timelines, manage risks, and deliver projects on schedule.
Prototype and iterate on new ideas to explore innovative gameplay mechanics and features.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of professional experience in game development, with a strong portfolio showcasing shipped titles.
Expertise in programming languages such as C++, C#, or Java.
Extensive experience with game engines like Unity, Unreal Engine, or similar.
Deep understanding of game architecture, physics, AI, and 3D graphics.
Proven experience in optimizing games for performance across multiple platforms.
Strong knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling challenges.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of game design principles and player experiences.
Preferred Skills (Optional but a Plus)
Experience with VR/AR development.
Knowledge of multiplayer and online game development, including networking and server‑side programming.
Familiarity with shader programming and graphics APIs (e.g., OpenGL, DirectX).
Experience with mobile game development (iOS/Android).
Understanding of procedural generation and tools development.
