**THE JOB**As a member of the Finance Team, you will be pivotal in ensuring our Accounts Payable function operates smoothly.
You will interact with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure that invoices and accounts are reconciled and paid in a timely fashion.
You will also take ownership of processing employee expenses, ensuring all claims are accurate, compliant and paid promptly.
You will work closely with the wider Finance team to resolve outstanding queries and ensure Ops accounts are reconciled in a timely fashion.We are not looking for just 'a numbers person', but someone who can work on their own to resolve issues as they arise.
The role will be varied and involve working with a range of internal and external data sets, as well as building relationships with stakeholders internally and externally.
The individual will be working with a variety of systems and be able to use any and all means to get to the right numbers.The ideal candidate is reliable, efficient, understand the workings in a Finance Dept, and thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
Knowledge or passion of the music/entertainment industry is a must.
**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING****Cash*** Preparation of a daily Bank Reconciliations and submission of cash balances and forecasts to Group Treasury.
* Posting payments and receipts to the bank.
* Regular posting of creditors payments and maintenance of Aged Creditors balances* Preparation of lodgements to the bank.
**Accounts Payable*** Processing of AP invoices to the accounting system, including correct account allocation.
* Preparation of AP invoice payment runs that are authorised by the relevant Managers* Purchase Ledger, Creditor Reconciliations and Vendor maintenance* Posting and reimbursement of staff expense claims weekly.
* Dealing with Supplier Queries in a timely manner.
* Assist with preparation of audit files.
**Payroll*** Provide support and cover when needed in preparation of payroll and distribution of payslips* Weekly reconciliations of payroll reports* Setting up of payments on internet banking system* Preparation of payroll related Revenue and CSO returns in time with payments**WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)*** Previous experience working in a finance department* Experience of working in a multi-division and international company preferred.
* Great teammate with strong communication and social skills* Commercially astute with strong analytical skills* Strong problem-solving skills including the ability to identify and prevent potential problems, as well as challenge and improve existing processes.
* Strong attention to detail and knowledge of accounting basics* Highly motivated and dynamic – ability to work to deadlines and achieve targets in a time-conscious manner* Previous knowledge working with Oracle and Excel a real plus but not required* Professional appearance and attitude**YOU (BEHAVIOURAL SKILLS)*** Proactive attitude* Self-Starter, capable of working both on their own initiative and as part of team.
