Lead and Inspire
* Take full accountability for your direct reports, owning their end-to-end experience.
* Mentor and develop your team to excel, celebrating successes and managing performance effectively.
* Collaborate with store leadership to achieve shared objectives.
* Role model M&S behaviours and demonstrate flexibility as business priorities evolve.
* Act promptly on customer feedback to exceed expectations.
* Empower teams to own Service, Selling, and Filling responsibilities.
* Create a positive work environment by listening to and acting on colleague feedback.
Deliver with Excellence
* Ensure the store operates safely and legally at all times.
* Support and coach Shift Leads and Sales Advisors to deliver smooth operations—without directly performing operational tasks.
* Execute launches, events, and campaigns flawlessly, ensuring first-time accuracy.
* Ensure accurate execution of all processes and guidelines in collaboration with your team.
Drive High Performance
* Enhance team performance through coaching and development.
* Lead your team to deliver a consistent and exceptional customer experience.
* Drive sales and contribution by consistently delivering key inputs.
* Demonstrate digital confidence across platforms including Time & Attendance (T&A), MyHR, Teams, and PowerBI.
People Accountabilities
* Support your team throughout the colleague lifecycle: hiring, duty of care, Return to Work (RTW), scheduling, holiday management, and more.
* Manage new starters effectively through probation.
* Identify and develop talent to meet future succession needs.
* Complete duty of care calls and RTW processes promptly.
* Conduct absence review meetings where applicable.
* Complete all check-ins, celebrating successes and managing performance.
* Ensure all colleagues complete mandatory compliance learning.
