Accounts AssistantDublin 12, Naas Road area, close to LUASVaried role within one of Ireland's leading independent drinks companiesKey Responsibilities· Principle duties comprise credit control and administration of the sales ledger· The role includes dealing with customer queries by email and telephone, therefore fluency in written and spoken English is essential· Invoice Discounting entries daily, experience an advantage.· Create Direct Debit payment file and upload to the bank.· Stock control, including matching of goods received notes to invoices, investigating discrepancies, and input of stock transfers to ensure accuracy of stock records· Purchase ledger, entry of purchase invoices onto the system, creating supplier payment list for Managing Director weekly· Monitor the office email for any issues arising and respond in a timely manner to any queries or forward to the relevant colleague.· Preparation of Monthly sales and other ad hoc reports to assist the sales teams and Managing Director in their business decision making· Assisting the Financial Controller in preparation of management accounts by reconciliation of bank and other key control accounts· General admin duties as required by the businessWhat we are looking forThis is a busy office environment, and you will be dealing with colleagues from different departments within the business, as well as external customers and suppliers. A good level of both written and spoken English is therefore essentialPrevious experience of working in a finance team, credit control, and use of accounting softwareStarted ACCA, Accounting Technician, or similar qualification/experienceStrong Excel skillsGood interpersonal skills, ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, and prioritise demands during busy periodsA problem solver, able to work on their own initiative and utilise their own skills and experience to further develop and improve business systems and proceduresExperience:Some previous accounting experience, looking to move into next roleSome knowledge or experience of working in the drinks industry would be an advantageWhile you will be predominantly office based during your initial training period, some working from home will be possible, providing it meets with the needs of the businessJob Type: Full-timePay: €37,000.00-€39,000.00 per yearWork Location: Hybrid remote in Dublin 12, CO.
