Job Title: Multi-Track Costs Draftsman / Costs LawyerSalary: £30,000 – £40,000 (depending on experience)Location: Liverpool City Centre (Office-based)Job Type: Full-Time, PermanentAbout the Role:A well-established legal company based in Liverpool City Centre is looking for an experienced Multi-Track Costs Draftsman or Costs Lawyer to join their drafting team.In this role, you’ll handle a varied and complex caseload involving the preparation of Multi-Track Bills (including Precedent S), Costs Budgets, and supporting documentation such as Precedents R and T. You’ll be confident in costs negotiations, have a solid understanding of the litigation process, and ideally, be experienced attending CCMCs.This is a great opportunity to bring your expertise into a collaborative environment that values attention to detail, knowledge sharing, and quality client service.Key Responsibilities:Draft and serve Multi-Track Bills, including Precedent S style BillsPrepare Costs Budgets (Precedents H), Precedents R and T, and N260 StatementsAttend CCMCs where requiredManage costs negotiations and support clients through the costs processCommunicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and external clientsProvide training or support to junior team members (and clients, if required)Ensure compliance with relevant CPR and litigation proceduresWork efficiently and independently, managing multiple case typesTypes of Cases You’ll Work On:Housing DisrepairFinancial Claims (e.g. Undisclosed Commissions)Personal Injury & Clinical NegligenceCavity Wall InsulationCommercial LitigationCatastrophic InjuryIndustrial Disease & Noise-Induced Hearing LossSerious Road Traffic AccidentsHoliday ClaimsWhat We’re Looking For:At least 5 years’ experience in Multi-Track costs draftingProven ability to prepare accurate Costs Budgets and forecast future costsConfident handling Precedents S, R, T and associated documentsFamiliarity with attending CCMCs (preferred but not essential)Proficiency in CostsMaster (or similar software), Excel & ProclaimExperience in internal or external training is a bonusStrong written and verbal communication skillsHigh attention to detail and ability to manage a varied caseload independentlyBenefits Include:£30,000 – £40,000 depending on experience25 days annual leave bank holidaysChristmas closure & your birthday off8 hours of “Me Time” per year for personal appointmentsOngoing training and career developmentFriendly, supportive working environment in the heart of the cityThis vacancy is being handled by Aspire Recruitment.
