Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Principal Environmental Scientist to support our continued growth and success. This role offers diverse projects exposure across various environmental sectors, including planning and EIAR, waste management, infrastructure development, waste licensing and permitting, industrial emissions licensing, and environmental due diligence.

Responsibilities
">
">
* Lead and manage project teams, reporting directly to a Director
">
* Oversee the project management and delivery of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEAs), Appropriate Assessments (AAs), planning application documentation, and other environmental reports
">
* Provide expert technical guidance on environmental matters across the business
">
* Actively contribute to business development efforts and support growth initiatives
">
* Manage the execution and compliance of regulatory approvals throughout project lifecycles
">

Requirements
">
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
">
">
* A degree-qualified background in a relevant environmental discipline
">
* 12-15 years of post-graduate experience in an environmental role
">
* Chartered status in a relevant professional discipline
">
* A strong understanding of planning, environmental, and waste management legislation
">
* Demonstrated experience in project management and in the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports, planning applications, and license/permit applications across a broad range of projects
">
* Proven experience in team leadership and client management
">
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes
">
* Flexible, collaborative, and an effective team member
">
* Strong technical writing and report reviewing skills
">
* Experienced in liaising with external stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and sub-contractors
">
* Holds a full, clean driving license
