About the Role
Woodston Personnel have an excellent opportunity for a Dental Hygienist in Co. Mayo. Our client is seeking a qualified and motivated Dental Hygienist to join their their friendly and patient-focused dental practice. This practice follows a non-fluoride, preventative, and holistic approach to oral health. This role is ideal for a hygienist who is passionate about patient education, long-term oral health, and working within an alternative care philosophy aligned with informed patient choice.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide dental hygiene treatments including scaling, polishing, and periodontal care, in line with a non-fluoride treatment approach
* Educate patients on oral hygiene, diet, lifestyle factors, and preventative strategies that support oral and overall health
* Carry out periodontal assessments and maintain accurate clinical records
* Deliver preventative care in accordance with practice protocols
* Support patients in making informed decisions about their oral health
* Work closely with dentists and the wider dental team to provide personalised, patient-centred care
* Maintain high standards of infection prevention and control
* Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, professional guidelines, and practice policies
* Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming clinical environment

Job requirements
* Qualification in Dental Hygiene recognised by the Dental Council of Ireland
* Current registration with the Dental Council of Ireland
* Alignment with, or openness to working within, a non-fluoride / holistic dental care philosophy
* Excellent communication and patient education skills
* High level of professionalism and attention to detail
* Previous experience required - 1 year minimum
