Finance Manager My client is a long-established group in the motor industry, with operations in Ireland and the UK.
They are currently recruiting for a newly created Finance Manager who can analyse company performance and provide commercial insights to the senior management team, to join their offices in West Dublin.
Reporting to the Finance Director, your primary responsibility will be to help the Groups retail business (vehicle sales, aftersales, and parts) drive and understand its financial performance.
Collaborating closely with the dealer principal, the retail team, and the wider finance team, you will drive the retail businesss understanding of margins, savings, and spend.
You will provide tactical and strategic financial insights and guidance to the business and its leaders.
You will help the business understand and improve its financial performance.
As part of this, you will drive initiatives to make tangible and timely improvements in cash, margins, efficiency, and analysis.
Your work will play a key role in shaping retails growth, will facilitate appropriate and informed decision-making, and contribute to the overall financial success of the organisation.
You will need to be commercially aware and adept at building relationships with your key stakeholders, while supporting and challenging them in equal measure.
Main duties: Month-end closing: Perform month-end accounts preparation and closing activities to help deliver month-end reporting on-time, with accuracy, analysis, and informative commentary.
Provide all necessary reporting and analysis required to support the Group month end close.
Balance sheet management: Ensure the retail balance sheet is fully reconciled.
Drive asset value.
Ensure stock is accurate and debt recovery is timely.
Manage retail cashflows.
Work with the retail team and central finance team to implement any related changes to process and procedure.
Financial analysis:Understand retail margins and identify opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate closely with the Dealer Principal and the retail teams in parts and workshop to crystallise these financial gains.
Manage retail finance projects and tactical initiatives, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with company goals.
Prepare monthly reports for the board of directors.
Insights: Act as the finance expert across the business on retail finance and on all initiatives for retail.
You will be required to present analysis, provide insight, and make recommendations for future strategies.
Become the finance team subject matter expert.
Forecasting and budgeting: Working with the Finance Director and the retail team, prepare the budgets and forecasts for the retail business while ensuring alignment with the companys strategic direction.

Operational and process improvement:Identify and implement process improvements to drive the efficiency and effectiveness of the retail and finance functions.
Challenge existing methods and relentlessly pursue efficiencies and cost savings whenever possible.
Proactively support the implementation of wider finance initiatives.
Requirements: Qualified Accountant with 4+ years' pqe Motor industry experience is essential.
Experience of Keyloop (Kerridge/ADP) dealer management system is desirable.
Strong communicator with the ability to act as a business partner between Finance and the operational and sales teams.
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
A self-starter, with a demonstrable ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and a proactive approach to individual tasks.
Ability to work on a tactical and strategic level.
Proven financial acumen and analytical mindset.
Commercially aware, with the ability to provide financial insights to drive business growth.
Proficiency in Excel and other software for financial analysis and modelling.
Highly analytical and numerical with excellent attention to detail.
Adept at building relationships with your key stakeholders in Retail and Finance and the broader business.
Salary: €90k - €100k plus benefits.
Hybrid working, 3 days on site.
