Details of service The Sláintecare Report *****) and Sláintecare Implementation Strategy *****) signal a new direction for the delivery of health and social care services in Ireland with the potential to create a far more sustainable, equitable, cost effective system and one that delivers better value for patients and service users.
At its core, the strategy focuses on establishing programmes of work to move to a community-led model, providing local populations with access to a comprehensive range of non-acute services at every stage of their lives.
This will enable our healthcare system to provide care closer to home for patients and service users, to be more responsive to needs and deliver better outcomes, with a strong focus on prevention and population health improvement.
The Senior Physiotherapist will be assigned to a designated physiotherapy service and will work a Senior Physiotherapist in their designated clinical area to deliver a high quality, holistic, coordinated client centred Physiotherapy service, in line with the Operating Model and in conjunction with the Therapy Manager/Line Manager of the service

Reporting Relationship The post holder will report to the Physiotherapy manager in the appropriate service area for clinical governance and to the relevant network manager/operational lead for operational governance.
Key Working Relationships As a Senior Physiotherapist, your key working relationships will be with your Primary Care Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) colleagues, Chronic Disease Hub colleagues, members of other care groups e.g ICPOP, Urology, Mental Health, Disability and other agencies.
Working collaboratively and communicating regularly within the MDT will ensure the best outcomes for the client/service user.
There will be a strong emphasis in collaborative working and liaising with colleagues across settings which is essential for successful service delivery.
Purpose of the Post · To be responsible for the provision of a high quality physiotherapy service in accordance with standards of professional practice and best practice guidelines
· To carry out clinical and educational duties as required
· To work with the Physiotherapy Manager/Line Manager in ensuring the co-ordination, development and delivery of a quality, client centred physiotherapy service across and between networks in the geographical area.
· To work in conjunction and collaborate with other team members in co-ordinating and developing a physiotherapy service to meet the needs of the population it serves in line with the objectives of the organisation
· Facilitate student placements
· To develop and implement strategies within a changing environment.
