The Clare Branch of The Irish Cancer Society are delighted to be hosting "Relay For Life " on Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd June 2025 in Ennis
Relay For Life is a 24 hour event that brings the whole community together to Celebrate the lives of cancer survivors, to Remember those who have been lost to the disease and to Fight Back by increasing the knowledge of cancer and by raising money to fund vital research and services of the Irish Cancer Society.
This event takes place at Tim Smythe Park Ennis and starts at 2pm on Saturday 21st with teams of people walking around the track over a 24 hour period. The event will open with a Survivors Lap where survivors of all ages will be cheered on by family and friends.
There are various tasks to be carried out over the 2 days and volunteers will be allocated to the tasks of their choice and suitability
Saturday 21st June - Event Set Up - setting out of Barriers and Bollards from 10am am to 12am
Traffic Management from 12pm to 2pm - Allowing cars/pedestrians in to event during the set up
Setting up and manning the Information Desk from 2pm to 5pm
Setting up of the Survivors Tent with decorations and the setting up of the tables and chairs for the Afternoon Tea from 2pm to 5pm .Manning of the Fun Zone from 2pm to 5pm
Manning of the Merchandise Shop from 2pm to 5pm
Sunday 22nd June Assistants required for the merchandising tent from 10am to 12pm & the taking down of the event and the clear up from 2pm to 4pm
All volunteers will be briefed beforehand and will have all the relevant information.Refreshments & T-Shirts will be provided on site to Volunteers

Regatta Assistants 2025
The Clarecastle Regatta takes place on Sunday 22nd June 2025. This is a family fun day which host many activities such as Boat Rides, Kayaking, Music & Singing, Horse/Carriage Rides as well as food & craft stalls .
The organizing committee are looking for volunteers to join their team to ensure that this event is a success. They plan to run a two shift system 11am to 3pm AND 2pm to 6pm
The tasks are as follows:-
Final setup up for the event from 11am in preparation for opening the event
Assist with individual events—orderly queues,
Assisting visitors with questions and directions to activities.
Assist with crowd flow/traffic management (people—not cars)
Assist with the clean-up at end of the event.
Adhere to health & safety at all times.
All volunteers that carry out their shifts will be offered refreshments
