Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Structural Design Engineer based in Dublin. The Structural Design Engineer will be responsible for:
* Carrying out structural calculations, conducting structural analysis, engaging in structural engineering tasks and manage a team of engineers and technicians to deliver projects
* Knowledge of varied European conditions will be advantageous including seismic design
* Daily responsibilities include utilizing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software such as SCIA, collaborating with design teams, and ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards
* Chartered status advantageous - the company will also actively support the employee with achieving this status
* Role will involve liaison with architects and other design team members, attendance at client meetings, presenting updates and deliverables to clients
* Candidate will be required to report on project progress to management
* Site visits for monitoring of works for progress and quality will be required
Preferred Skills (Experience or even interest appreciated; on-the-job training can be provided)
* Dynamo/Grasshopper for visual scripting and process automation
* Python scripting for custom tools and data processing
Qualifications
* Strong skills in Calculations and Structural Analysis
* At least 7 years’ experience in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering
* Proficiency in computer design software
* Excellent problem-solving and project management skills
* Effective communication and teamwork abilities
* Ability to work in a hybrid remote and on-site environment
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field
* Chartered status is advantageous
