Role Overview:
We are looking for an experience fertility nurse to join our team:
As a Fertility Nurse/Midwife, you will be at the heart of patient care, supporting them through every stage of treatment by telephone, email, and in-person. You will maintain the core ethos of our clinic, ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to empathy, professionalism, and quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
* Perform transvaginal ultrasounds, including assessment scans, follicle tracking, cycle monitoring, and early pregnancy scans.
* Conduct phlebotomy, cannulation, and administer injections.
* Provide nurse consultations and patient education.
* Collaborate with Fertility Consultants to create tailored treatment plans.
* Assist in theatre for procedures such as egg collections, embryo transfers, hysteroscopies, and surgical sperm retrievals.
* Perform IUIs and monitor patients in recovery post-sedation.
* Assist with blood sample processing and general day-to-day running of the clinic.
* Support and train HCAs, Fertility Nurses, and Nurse Sonographers.
Administrative & Coordination Duties:
* Coordinate treatment cycles and egg donation programs.
* Prepare prescriptions, blood test forms, and therapy plans.
* Liaise with third-party clinics, pharmacies, and handle obstetric referrals.
* Document patient correspondence in management software (IDEAS) and maintain accurate patient records.
* Support the training and development of junior staff under Quality Manager guidance.
Patient Care Duties:
* Respond to patient calls and emails with empathy and professionalism.
* Conduct care check-ins for current or recent patients.
* Provide counselling and guidance to patients throughout their treatment journey.
Education, Training & Competence:
* Maintain professional expertise through ongoing CPD.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and patient management software.
* Comply with legislative requirements, including the EU Tissue & Cells Directive, SI, and SI full training provided if required).
* Maintain full registration with NMBI and inform management of any changes immediately.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Midwife (RM).
* 2-3 years' experience in a fertility setting.
* Sonography/Ultrasound experience

* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Compassionate, patient, and highly organized.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure as part of a busy, multidisciplinary team.

Working Hours:
* 40hr working week inclusive of breaks.
8 Hour shift with core operating hours between 8am-4pm,
