Job Title – Student Engineer (Placement)
SUMMARY: Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Student Engineer will be part of the
Engineering team responsible for providing Engineering support in an effort to maximize
production performance, including identifying root cause, implementing corrective/preventive
action on all Engineering issues in production.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
* Assist in creating Preventative Maintenance database
* Assist in drafting 2D component drawings using Autocad &/or Solid works
* Drafting reports and procedures using MS Excel & Word
* Other duties to assist the Engineering team as they arise
* Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures.
* Develop an understanding of Harmac products and processes within area of responsibility.
* Ability to quickly learn production processes and quality management systems.
* Conform to the requirements of the quality and environmental management system.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
* Willingness to learn on the job with a can-do attitude is essential.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Experience using MC Office Suite (particularly Word or Excel).
* Working knowledge of Autocad &/or Solidworks.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office.
* To be a good team member, fully motivated to achieve and demonstrate best practices in line
with the department and site objectives
* Assist with ensuring that the Company retains ISO accreditation.
* Familiarize yourself with a variety of processes to allow you to work across a number of product
lines.
* Additional ad hoc projects and duties as assigned.
